Loved You Once is was beautifully written. It is emotional, angsty and was difficult to put down once I started reading. The characters and story pull you in immediately. Serenity is a dedicated and focused doctor. She has been in a casual relationship with a fellow doctor, Westin Grant but never allowed herself to get too emotionally involved. She was left heartbroken by her first love and didn't want to find herself in that position again so she has kept herself from getting too close to anyone romantically.  After a series of traumatic events Serenity begins to question herself and her choices. The decisions she is faced with are heartwrenching. The story takes you on an epic journey of self discovery, love, hope and heartbreak. I would classify this as more of a womens fiction, than a romance as it wasn't the focal point of the story, but that didn't make me love it any less. Beautifully written.
