I always love my return trips to Autre, Louisana and every moment spent with the Landry family is a fun filled adventurous time! Sealed with a Kiss is Donovan and Naomi's story. These two had such fantastic sizzling, chemistry. I loved their passion for their work, animal rescue, family and most of all each other.

This book is everything I love about Erin Nicholas’ writing. Small town setting, endless moments of laughter and swoon and of course the Landry’s. This family can be meddling and all up in each other’s business but they have the best of intentions and everyone should be so lucky to have a family like this one in their lives.

Donovan is the crazy adventurous type. Always jumping into dangerous situations to solve a problem before he has fully thought it through. He has a huge heart and luckily always comes out with all his limbs intact. What he doesn’t realize is Naomi is always there, routing him on with her heart in her throat watching a man she is quickly falling for putting his life at risk. Donovan’s wild, fun, adventurous side is becoming a huge attraction for Naomi. She is putting herself out there more than ever as she is finding out she wants to be at Donovan’s side, routing him on. She even ends up surprising herself in her own discoveries and passion for animal rescue.

The Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild is quickly becoming a favourite series and I cannot wait for the next one!

I loved the audio narration done by Zara Eden and Jason Clarke. Their voices are engaging, entertaining, sexy and sweet. Listening to a story narrated in third person POV can sometimes be harder to connect to the emotions of the characters, but I thought they did a wonderful job and I hope to hear more books narrated by these two together in the future.

If you have been following M. Robinson's Second Chance Series, you will recognize Jax Colton as Kinley's best friend from Second Chance Vow. I have been dying for his story and M. Robinson did not disappoint! Jax and Sophie's story is all consuming, angsty and emotional. From the moment I began reading I was completely captivated by them! Jax is one arrogant, confident sexy pro football player and is considered the greatest of all time in the NFL. After fifteen years with his current team, he is being traded to his hometown team, in Forth Worth. In efforts to get a handle on his public image his agent hires Autumn. They are concerned his fans will consider him to be a traitor for leaving his current team and she concocts a plan to find him a wife and do a flashy fake wedding story that his fans will eat up. 

Enter Sophie. Sophie is Jax’s one and only true love and the one he let get away. He broke her heart in a devastating way so getting her to agree to this plan, he will have his work cut out for him! I am not going to lie, the way he goes about it at first made me want to strangle him. It’s kind of underhanded but it wouldn’t be an M. Robinson book without a ruthless, possessive, dirty talking,  protective hero that will do and say whatever he needs to in a situation like this and I forgave him pretty quickly. The book is a page turner from start to finish. The angst and feels for these two as they reconnected was just phenomenal writing! M. Robinson had my heart in a vice grip but the journey is worth every raw, heartbreaking moment. Jax had his not so fine moments but then he had his tender, swoon-worthy ones that would melt my whole damn heart!  

Sophie is one fierce, strong lady! I loved her in her younger years. How determined she could be with Jax to bend to her will and she grew up stronger than ever. She is a romance writer, that has remained anonymous and agreeing to marry Jax is going to thrust her into the limelight in a major way. Sophie is independent, but she is a protective mama bear and her son Ben remains her number one priority at all times. As the story flips from past to present I was completely riveted by their second chance love story. Their were heartbreaking moments, super steamy ones, moments of joy, pain and laughter and I loved it all.

I just love Chelle Bliss’ mc romances and this one was no exception. Broken Dove is the second book in her Open Road Series and I devoured it. Lia and Leo took me by surprise in the best of ways. Not only do they have magnetic chemistry, the banter between them was fun, witty and charming. Their friends with benefits secret relationship has worked well for them and they both have their reasons for not letting their hearts get too involved.  I love the support the mc club offers. Especially when one of their own is in need they do not think twice about stepping in.  Not only is this a sweet, sexy romance it also has suspense and some action and kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. My heart felt for Leo as his feelings grow for Lia and he is juggling keeping her safe and the complications of his past and all it brings to his new found family within the club.  If you like contemporary, friends to lovers and mc romance this is the story to pick up! You will not be disappointed.

The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by Elizabeth O’Roark is a fantastic angsty, slow burn, forbidden romance. This story is all I love about romance. It is emotional and heartfelt with very real relatable characters that I instantly connected with. Josh and Drew had such fantastic banter and the sexual tension and chemistry between them was off the charts!

I loved the escapism of a trip to Hawaii the setting provides. As unconventional as it seems Drew is invited to spend a holiday with her ex-boyfriends family which includes his ridiculously hot older brother, Josh. Initially, Josh comes across as a bit rough around the edges. He is a bit judgemental and his broodiness is a bit off putting but once you get to know him he is so easy to fall for.

What I loved in this story were the quiet moments shared just between Josh and Drew. Those early morning runs, their heartfelt conversations, the survival of the endless activities his mom put them through added up to some pretty special memorable moments.

This book pulls you in right from the first chapter until the end. I thought the audiobook narrated by Lee Samuels and Samantha Brentmoor was done so well. These narrators did a phenomenal job bringing these characters to life. Samantha’s emotional delivery of Drew was one of her best. I love how she taps into her character’s vulnerabilities and insecurities while also showcasing her passionate, feisty side as well. Lee Samuels has an engaging voice and his portrayal of Josh was perfect. His storytelling is humorous, sexy and emotional in all the right places. I would like to find more stories narrated by this duo!

Jay McLean never ceases to amaze me with her incredible story telling. She has penned another poignant story that will hurt a thousand times over before the good. Jamie and Holden’s story is filled with so much angst but it is told in such a way that is raw, beautiful, heart wrenching and all consuming. If you have read this author’s Preston Brothers series you will have met Holden in Leo but she has only just scratched the surface in that book. There were so many layers to uncover about Holden and I devoured this story in one sitting. Jamie’s character shredded my heart. As her back story is revealed I was completely gutted and the emotional hold over my heart was intense. She has endured so much more than any young person should ever have to. However she is resilient and strong and has managed to survive it all and Holden being put in her life was not what she had planned for and completely up ends things. I love the beauty in Jamie and Holdens relationship. Holden is not perfect by any means, he is facing his own battles but there were moments when I was completely blown away by their dynamic. I loved those raw completely tender moments between them. Like when he compares Jamie to a puzzle. Throughout the story she reveals small pieces to him, one fragment at a time and he feels it is up to him to figure her out entirely. In true Jay McLean fashion this book ends in one shocking cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see how it all concludes in Pieces of Us.

PIECES OF ME REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pieces of Me is part two and the conclusion to Jamie and Holden’s love story and wow did Jay McLean blow me away with it. When I pick up any book by this author I have to do a mental pep talk, to prepare for the angst, heartbreak and feels but no matter how hard I try I’m never truly prepared. This is phenomenal story telling, character development and plot. Holden and Jamie’s story is one of this authors very best. Holden is one character that will stick with me forever. He began as a young and at times, stupid teenager but his character growth from teenage boy to young man is out of this world. He made mistakes but the love in his heart for the women in his life is so special and unique. 

I said it in my review of Pieces of You but I will again. Jamie is one resilient, strong young woman. Five years have passed since the end of Pieces of You and Jamie and Holden’s reunion will not be all hearts and flowers. It’s going to be messy, hard, and difficult but at the end of the day the two share one of the most extraordinary loves and even through the guilt, grief and hurt I chose to believe it was still there underneath the surface. 

This is a story that I never saw coming. It is truly a work of art and these characters will stay in my heart forever. This book gave me so many feels but the biggest being out of this world intense, raw emotion. The way these characters explode and implode all at once is all consuming. 

As a forever fan of the Preston Brothers my heart was so happy getting to check in on Leo, Mia and Benny. I adored those moments so very much. Also Big H and Maggie!

Jay McLean has written an epic love story for the ages with Holden and Jamie’s story. Her writing is next level and brings me back to the reason I read romance. Highly recommend to any new adult, second chance romance reader that wants a ton of angst, intensity and high emotion.

Long time fans of Corinne’s will have first met Oliver Parkerson in The One for Me when his ex girlfriend, Devney fell for Sean Arrowood. My heart went out to him in that book and was so happy when we learned we would get his own happily ever after. Although I didn’t expect it would be with Devney’s best friend Maren but now I could not imagine a better pairing. I just loved these two so much.  Oliver and Maren have known each other since college so when she finds herself jilted and left at the alter she is in need of a new groom to marry as it is her dying father’s wish to walk her down the aisle she proposes Oliver be the one to step in as her fake groom. Oliver being the kind hearted man he is agrees but in his mind he has no plans to catch feelings for her. Understandably, his heart is guarded after what he went through with Devney, however it doesn’t take long for lines to become blurred as with every look, touch and caress their feelings become blurred and attraction grows and they soon cannot resist the pull to one another. Their chemistry is undeniable and steamy. Of all the Parkersons, Oliver is the more quiet and reserved one on the outside but has an inner strength and the biggest heart inside and when he finds love with Maren it is so deeply beautiful, you cannot help but route for them. In true Corinne fashion this story rips your heart out and then slowly puts it back together. There was an element of surprise that I never saw coming and couldn’t be happier with how everything turns out for this beautiful couple and by the end of the epilogue my heart was full for not only Oliver and Maren but all the Parkerson siblings. What a perfect end to a wonderful series. Willow Creek Valley and the Parkersons will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The friends to lovers trope is one of my favourites to read and Willow Aster and Laura Pavlov have delivered one incredible story in Friends with Benefactors. The swoon, the laughter, the feels! I loved it all. Penelope and Beckham have been best friends since kindergarten. Now at twenty-three the dynamic of their relationship has changed after the two share an unexpected kiss but Penelope is devastated when Beckham disappears for eight months afterwards. All she wants is her best friend back. When he does come back to own up to his feelings he proposes a friend with benefits situation but their hearts are already involved so it won’t be as simple as that. I have loved all the women the Taylor brothers have gotten their happily ever after with but Penelope is one hundred percent my favourite of the women in this series. She is a Taylor so she is sassy, smart, and has a sunny personality. She is strong, tenacious and fun. I loved her connection with her brothers the entire Taylor family. Beckham, oh my heart. He is the perfect man for Penelope if he could just allow himself to give into his more then friendly feelings for her. I adored him but my heart hurt for him as well, for feeling unworthy of Pen’s love. He has issues with commitment due to his upbringing. Beck is honest, sweet and caring. The way he loves Pen was just so beautiful and raw. I loved his dynamic with the Taylor brothers. They all know that Pen and Beck belong together so in their usual fashion of hilarious shenanigans they are routing for their baby sister and Beck! I can hardly believe this is the end of the series. I have love every moment with the GD Taylor’s and this fictional family will stay with me for a long time to come! If you haven’t picked up this book or series do it now! The banter, the swoon, the laugh out loud moments are endless and I highly recommend it!
