Ty Greene promised me forever and like a fool—I believed him.

But he skipped town with a bag of broken promises and a piece of my heart.

It’s taken time, but I've put myself back together and moved on.

Now Ty’s a big country music star in Nashville and I curse his name every time his song plays on the radio.

I don’t have time to dwell on the past.

I’m too busy living my best life.

I have the job of my dreams, a dating app that never disappoints, and the best friends in the world.

Hashtag thriving.

Life is good.

But now Ty is back in Willow Springs after all these years...

Acting as if nothing has changed.

His superstar status might impress everyone in town, but I’ve put him in my rearview.

And that’s exactly where I intend to keep him.

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can hardly believe this is the end of the beloved Magic Willows! Claimed is the final book in the series, and my favourite of them all. I have long anticipated Ivy and Ty's story and was so worth the wait. Their story is beautiful and complicated but their love is one of the epic loves, that truly stands the test of time. Ivy and Ty fell head over heels for each other in their teens. Ty ended up leaving town and breaking Ivy’s heart. He’s now back home and ready to make amends with her but she isn’t going to make it that easy on him. I loved Ty’s fire and determination. He wouldn’t let her cold shoulder deter him. He is a man on a mission and will stop at nothing to insert himself in her life again that will have them crossing each other paths every chance he gets and be in the same room with one another.

Maura, Addy, Gigi, Ivy and Coco make up the fantastic girl group of the magic willows. No matter where they are at in their lives they have each other’s back and I fell head over heels for this group with Addy’s book is Frayed and my love for them has no waned.  This is a small town second chance love story that wraps up the series perfectly.  The passion, love and heartbreak these two characters go through was so beautifully written. There is just something about a couple in a second chance love story that goes so much deeper emotionally and I was routing for them the whole time. By the end of the second epilogue my heart was full, I had tears streaming down my face and I could not be happier how it all ended. If small town romance and second chance love stories are your jam you MUST pick this one up. It is a must read. In fact the entire series is.

Prologue

Everly

PAST

Be brave. For sixty seconds. Twenty breaths. I could do anything for twenty ins and outs. The springs on my mattress squeaked as I swung my legs over the side of my bed. I froze. And listened.

There were lots of things I hated about growing up here. But there were things I loved, too. Things I was grateful for. Like how attuned I was to every whisper. I’d know in an instant if a sound didn’t belong.

I waited. Heard the screen door rattle in the wind. The call of an owl. Even the hum of our refrigerator in the kitchen. I didn’t hear my brother or dad. Mom had been gone for days, helping a baby come into the world. But I wished for her now. She was the only one who had a chance of stopping the craziness. But she wasn’t here, and I wasn’t sure what tomorrow would bring.

I pushed to my feet, praying my mattress would stay quiet and not give me away. The springs didn’t betray me again. I moved to my closet, careful to avoid any floorboards that creaked. Pulling a pair of worn jeans from a shelf, I slipped them on. I tugged the nightgown over my head and reached for a t-shirt.

The breeze picked up through my open window. It had been unbearably hot today but just a few hours into the night and a chill had settled. I grabbed a flannel just in case. Slipping on socks, I picked up my boots. I knew better than to put hard soles on this floor.

My dad had taught me how to move without a sound to avoid any kind of predator. And tonight, I was thankful for each and every lesson—even the ones where I’d had to roll in mud to disguise myself.

I reached for the doorknob, but my hand stilled on the metal. I could just go back to bed. Forget my attempt at being brave and wait for Mom to come home. To bring my dad down from his paranoid state where everyone was the enemy and we were at risk from it all—the government, neighbors, even my teachers.

I’d watched as our lives got smaller and smaller, with fewer and fewer people to trust. I didn’t remember a lot of the normal. But I remembered some. The second grade and Miss Christie before Dad had pulled Ian and me out of school. Visiting Mom’s family in Portland before he’d decided they were heathens. The town fair before he became convinced that it was evil.

I closed my eyes and turned the knob. Stepping out into the hall, I listened again. Nothing out of place. I created a dance to avoid every problematic board in my path, sometimes tiptoeing, other times stretching my legs to the point I worried I’d tip over.

Finally, I reached the front door. Our old dog, Bruiser, raised his head, but I held a single finger to my lips, begging for silence. Feeding him table scraps must’ve paid off because he lay back down and let out a soft snore.

I eased open the door and stepped through to the first true rebellion I’d ever embarked on. One that might make me like my older sister—an outcast. I closed the door behind me with a soft snick, but it was deafening to my ears, echoing off the mountain itself. I let the screen door fall closed, too, only a small rattle in my wake.

I hopped over the porch steps entirely, knowing each and every one would give me away. I landed with an oomph but held in my cry of pain. Slipping on my boots, I glanced at the shed in the distance. The motion lights on its exterior meant I didn’t dare try for it. So, I started for the barn instead.

One of the doors was open a hair to let some of the night air in, and I pulled it a bit more, just wide enough so Storm and I had a path. As I moved down the aisle, our few horses nickered or lifted their heads to see who was about. I paused at the tack room, picked up a bridle, and then continued until I reached Storm’s stall.

She must have scented me coming because her head was already over the stall door. I gave her nose a rub and then urged her back. “Gotta let me in.” She did as I asked, and I left the door open, knowing she wasn’t going anywhere…not without me.

I eased the bridle over her head, and she accepted the bit without complaint. “What do you say we go for a ride?” She seemed to nod her head in agreement. It would’ve been so much simpler if we were just taking off for one of our afternoon adventures, exploring the mountains.

I led her out of the stall and towards the exit. We made our way out, and I hoisted myself onto the fence so I could climb onto her back. She stayed steady as I threw a leg over and adjusted my grip on the reins. “Nice and easy.”

I guided her down the path that stayed far away from the house. One that led to the mountain switchbacks. I glanced up at the sky, thanking the heavens for a nearly full moon. I just prayed my sense of direction was as good as I thought.

I’d never ridden all the way to town before. It was at least fifteen miles, and several paths ebbed and flowed. But I knew where I was headed. I’d memorized these mountains every day of my life. They were both a refuge and a prison. Solace and tormentor.

Tonight, they were on my side. Each trail’s crossroads seemed to give me the next logical step until switchbacks turned to wide, worn paths, the dirt packed by hikers and riders. Soon, I reached the road into town. I stayed just off it, my heart hammering against my ribs as the forests turned to neighborhoods.

I adjusted my grip on the reins, seeking out a peek at the lake on the outskirts of town. The moon made the water almost glitter. “Just a few more minutes,” I whispered to myself. I could be brave for a little longer.

I moved Storm onto the blacktop, her hooves echoing against the buildings along Aspen Street. Every store was dark with limited streetlights so residents and visitors alike could see the stars. Normally, I loved seeing them, too, but tonight I fought a shiver. Wolf Gap felt like a ghost town.

I slowed Storm as we approached the street I knew held my next battle for bravery. I wondered if I was already past the point of no return or if I could guide Storm back up the mountain and go home. I turned her onto Spruce.

The light from a building poured out into the night. It wasn’t harsh, more like a soft beacon, guiding me home. Only if I walked inside, I had a feeling I’d never see home again. WANT MORE? Click here for the full sneak peek. >>>https://bit.ly/3KXHwMq

Synopsis

Be brave. Just for sixty seconds. Twenty breaths.

One night changed them both forever.

Their lives shattered, beyond repair, with jagged edges and pieces askew.

Now, Everly has a chance to make things right. To bring healing to the place where everything fell apart. But it means facing the family her father almost destroyed, and the boy with the dark eyes—now grown—who still haunts her dreams.

Just one breath away from having your life ripped out from under you.

The last thing Hayes wants is another reminder of all the ways he failed sixteen years ago. When Everly drives back into Wolf Gap, his only mission is to get her to leave. For his family’s sake, and for his own, those demons need to stay buried for good.

But everything about this woman is a surprise, from her spine of steel to the sanctuary she hopes to create with the land her mother left behind. And Hayes is powerless to stay away.

As a careful friendship sparks into something more, someone watches. And they’ll do anything to tear it all apart…

REVIEW: Always Someone's Monster by Lani Lynn Vale

Always Someone’s Monster, (
Battle Crows MC) Book 1
By Lani Lynn Vale

Release Date:
January 25, 2022

About the Book

A few years ago, when his sister went missing, Haggard Crow turned into something he never wanted to be. A killer.

Even after his sister is rescued a year after she was kidnapped and sold, Haggard ‘Thief’ Crow doesn’t have any plans on changing. He sort of likes the zero fucks given guy that he is now.

Bonus points, he saves women and children from extreme situations, along with his club and real life brothers by his side.

After a horrible marriage, Haggard has zero plans of ever finding a woman again. One-night stands not counting, he adores his life as a single man. There are no expectations. No ‘where are yous’ and ‘are you coming homes.’

The life he chooses to live is a simple one. Until he makes a huge mistake, and he steps over that line between ‘daughter’s best friend’ and ‘a woman he desperately wants.’

Before long, he can’t stop thinking about her. Can’t stop wanting her. Can’t stop feeling things for her that a man twenty years her senior should never feel for a girl he watched grow up.

After one lapse in judgment, he decides she needs to go. But the funny thing is, he never expected Sophia Madden to fight back. And dirty at that.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always Someone’s Monster is the first book in Lani Lynn Vale’s new Battle Crow MC Series. I’ve been dying for Sophia Madden’s story since ‘meeting’ her in the Madd CrossFit series and wow what a steamy, forbidden, emotional story it was. It was so worth the wait. This story took me by surprise in the very best of ways. I was not at all prepared for the many feels this book would put me through and the moment I started reading it was impossible to put the book down until I finished. Sophia and Haggard have a complicated, emotional love story. He is her dad’s best friend and she is his daughter’s best friend. Holy forbidden but nothing about it felt wrong. The progression and development of their relationship was perfectly written and I fell so hard for this couple. The angst, tension and feels nearly wrecked me but in an all consuming way. Sophia is a firecracker of a woman. Fierce, knows her heart and mind and Haggard is what she wants. Haggard is a different man since his sister was held captive by traffickers. She’s now been rescued and is happy in her life but that year he lost with her destroyed him. He is a good man but does bad things for the right reasons. Sophia is a temptation to him that is tries very hard to resist, but she is persistent and becomes impossible to ignore the looks, touches and sparks. When they connect the passion between them is deeply intense and I couldn’t get enough. The book is unpredictable in ways that I can’t even begin to describe without giving away spoilers. If you are a reader that wants to feel all the emotions when you read this is the one to pick up. Just have your box of tissues near because you are going to need them!

Blurb: A sexy, mistaken-identity, forbidden sports romance! After my last romance turned into a dumpster fire, I did the only reasonable thing–I swore off men for all of eternity. So my bestie said she did the only reasonable thing–she signed me up for a freaking dating app. I thought it was a joke. But after too many martinis, I committed a cardinal sin. I slid into the DMs of the first eye-roll inducing profile I found – @BigDeckEnergy. With a name like that, how could I resist giving him a piece of my mind? I never expected him to write back. I also never expected to like him. His body? Sexy as hell. Handle? Cocky. Accent? Did I mention he’s British? Personality? Funny, sweet, and witty. Everything was falling into place until it all came crashing down and I remembered why I’d written off dating in the first place. Because Ethan Byrne wasn’t just @BigDeckEnergy. He was a pro hockey player. #41, the center for the Seattle Cyclones, to be exact. He also happened to be my brand new client, and completely off-limits. Too bad I already knew exactly how big his deck really was. Big Deck Energy is a steamy stand-alone novel in Kim Loraine's Anything For Love series featuring a strong heroine, a hero with a hot AF British accent, and lots of flirty banter.

About the Author: Kim writes steamy contemporary and sexy paranormal romance. You’ll find her paranormal romances written under the name K. Loraine and her contemporaries as Kim Loraine. Don’t worry, you’ll get the same level of swoon-worthy heroes, sassy heroines, and an eventual HEA. When not writing, she’s busy herding cats (raising kids), trying to keep her house sort of clean, and dreaming up ways for fictional couples to meet.

Everyone knows not to mix business and pleasure. Don’t they?

Entrepreneur Ryan Michaels never loses. Well, except that time a few years ago when he lost a promotion to spoiled rich girl, Charlotte “Charlie” Ray. Now he’s forced to hire his nemesis to secure funding to develop a string of luxury boutique hotels. Not only does she not fit his corporate vision, but she’s too damn attractive for her own good. And his.

Working as VP of sales and marketing for a luxury hotel is Charlie’s dream job. Too bad her boss is Ryan Michaels, the same pompous stick-in-the-mud that she remembers. If he tells her that this project is his legacy one more time, she might scream. Or maybe kissing him will get him to shut up?

Because that’s the other thing. The sizzling attraction between Ryan and Charlie is impossible to ignore. But everyone knows not to mix business and pleasure. Don’t they?

Hotel King is the first book in award-winning and USA Today best-selling author Claire Marti's new spinoff contemporary romance series, California Suits. The series will follow the adventures of five best friends who are opening a string of luxury boutique hotels from La Jolla to Monterey to Beverly Hills as each one finds true love…usually where he least expects it.

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hotel King is my first by Claire Marti, and it will not be my last. Enemies to Lovers romance is one of my most favourite tropes and this one did not disappoint. Charlie and Ryan’s story got off to a pretty rocky start, when years before becoming a successful hotel entrepreneur Ryan was passed over for a promotion that was in turn given to Charlie. Although reluctantly he has no choice but to accept it and move on. Years later, his most prominent financial backer turns out to be Charlie’s Dad and he is requesting that he hire Charlie as a condition of his continued financial support. Although he doesn’t want to, Ryan feels backed into a corner he has no choice but to agree. Even though a few years have now passed you would never know it, because the hate to love vibes were strong between these two. The sexual tension and intense chemistry between them was off the charts. They often butt heads and Ryan was completely frustrating and unwilling to compromise but Charlie is the winner in my book. She was a force! Despite never really knowing what version of Ryan she was going to get she never hesitated to go toe to toe with him and stayed strong in her business ideas and choices. Not only is Charlie smart and intelligent, she is gorgeous, feisty and independent. She is successful in her career and has worked hard to get where she is. When they finally give into their feelings, things heat up in the bedroom, but how will they balance their personal and business life before everything implodes? Narration- I loved listening to the story narrated by two of my favorites, Tim Paige and Vanessa Edwin. Vanessa has a powerhouse of a voice, showcasing her character's confident, sassy side perfectly. Tim does a great job portraying the broodiness of his character. I also loved his passionate and romantic side in the intimate moments between Ryan and Charlie. Overall, this is a great book, and I look forward to more in this series to come.

As the hockey league’s star goalie, I live by three simple principles:

1. Keep a pristine image.

2. Work hard on the ice.

3. Don’t piss off the bosses…too much.

I was killing it until a mishap tarnished my image. Now, management has me cleaning up my reputation and coaching a bunch of kids. And damn, those little punks are growing on me, and so is the program coordinator, Kendra.

I’m hellbent on proving myself, but my attraction to Kendra takes me by complete surprise.

Her defenses are up, but I like a good challenge.

Management’s directives are clear: "Kendra is off-limits."

But like I said, I'm the goalie. I do the blocking. I won’t let anyone stand in my way.

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Hold Me Forever is book #2 in The Maxwell Brothers Series by Layla Hagen. While this can be read stand alone I highly recommend catching up on Tate and Lexi’s story first, in Promise Me Forever. Layla Hagen is one of my favourite authors when I am in the mood for a heartwarming, sweet, low angst love story and she absolutely delivered that with a Kendra and Tyler’s story. Tyler Maxwell is a goalie for the NHL’s hottest hockey team, the Chicago Blades. He has recently found himself in a bit of hot water with the team after a video went viral and he has been benched by team management until he can clean up his image. Volunteering to coach hockey at a youth center for underprivileged children ought to do it. Here he meets Kendra, the organizer of the volunteer facility and sparks fly immediately between them. Although neither of them are at places in their lives where a new relationship is a good idea the pull to Kendra for Tyler is strong and he falls hard and fast for her. He has been warned a relationship with Kendra is off limits but he won’t let that deter him. I loved Tyler when he was interacting with the youth at the center. He is sweet and supportive to them and helping them out just because he can and has the means to. Kendra is a woman I highly connected with. She is a determined, strong young woman with a huge heart. She loves her job and fights for the programs and kids she believes in. I loved getting more the extended Maxwell family. Kendra and her sister Emma fit right in. They are a supportive, all up in each other’s business kind of family but it’s because they love so hard, and I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait for the next one.

THE BEST MEN by Sarina Bowen & Lauren Blakely
Release Date: January 18th, 2022

THE BEST MEN by Bestselling authors Sarina Bowen and Lauren Blakely is NOW LIVE!! Don’t miss out on this enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, irresistibly sexy standalone romance between the best man and the other best man!

NOW AVAILABLE!!!

Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Jacob Morgan!

🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Sarina Bowen and Lauren Blakely are two of my absolute favourites. When they announced this book it quickly became my most anticipated release of 2022. Bowen and Blakely have a unique quality to their writing. These authors truly know how to grab their readers from the opening scene. They nail the fun, flirty banter and sexual tension in this opposites attract, MM story with perfection!

Mark is an investment banker, single dad and divorcee. Due to his own experiences his view on love and romance is slightly skewed at the moment. When his sister announces her upcoming marriage to Flip, a wealthy guy she met only a few months previous he is immediately skeptical of their relationship working out. However, her happiness is most important to him and he sets his feelings aside and steps up as Best Man for his sister. The other Best Man is Asher, (Flip’s best friend) and the two are tasked with a trip to Miami to scope out the wedding venue. Mark and Asher have done nothing but get under each other’s skin from first meeting and the sexual tension is coming off them in waves! What could possibly go wrong with a few nights away together?

Asher is an event planner/ photographer and ex soccer star. He is rich, popular and the complete opposite of Mark. Asher’s carefree lifestyle just doesn’t jive for Mark but it is becoming too hard to ignore the sizzling hot chemistry between them.  Once Mark and Asher give into their mutual attraction things really heat up! Mark takes spreadsheets to a whole new level and I’ll never look at them quite the same again.

This story is everything I love about romance. It is funny and sexy but at the same time it had its emotional, tender moments as well. I love the growth in Asher and Mark’s relationship as well as individually. What was supposed to be a vacation fling turns into so much more. Even with a few complications and obstacles to navigate together I love how it all turns out and this ended in the most heartwarming and satisfying HEA.

When it comes to MM audiobooks Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are my favourite duo! There is simply no one better than Jeddy! Their voices are playful, flirty, sexy and emotional and when it comes to the bedroom scenes, oh do they heat it up! This was a fantastic listen and I highly recommend the audiobook!

Blurb

In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a life-long penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send ten drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake.   If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman.   I also used the phrase “super hot wingman,” so I’d like to die now.   Instead, I have to plan a wedding with the aforementioned hottie and share a too-small guesthouse in steamy Miami.   Three days in the sun with the cocky, charming former athlete who likes to push my buttons? Fine, two can play at that let’s-infuriate-each-other game.   Until Asher ups the stakes with one wildly sexy suggestion. A no-strings fling, then I go back to my single dad life in New York, and he returns to his star-studded one.   Sign me up.   But the more nights I spend with the other best man, the more I want days too, and that just can't happen. Especially when I find out the real reason why…   Contents Include: First times, a secret to-do list, champion-level flirting, fast cars, #eggplants, and two men who look good in formal wear.

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rough and Tumble by Frankie Love, is book #1 is her new Coming Home Series. This is a short and quick read that features a super swoony mountain man with a huge heart, a big family and he will do anything to protect the beautiful Abby that has just arrived in his hometown. Abby is on the run when she arrives in Home, Washington. After a visit to this cute little town when she was younger, she promised herself if she could ever escape her family she was going to come back. The moment Bartlett sets his eyes on Abby, he is drawn to her immediately. He sees her beauty and something inside of him knows she is it for him. The one he has been waiting for to make his life complete. Frankie Love's mountain men and in insta-love stories are so easy to fall for. This is a heart warming, steamy read that I devoured in one sitting. The Rough family have my attention! I love how warm and welcoming they are and even though Bart's brother Rye was skeptical of Abby at first, I have a feeling there is a back story underneath and many layers to uncover and I cannot wait for his story next.

EXCERPT

Her lips are soft, willing. Smooth. And damn, I don’t want this kiss to end. Her eyes flutter open, and her fingers run through my hair. She smiles in my arms and I know I’m holding her tight.
I don’t wanna let her go. She’s someone I’ve just met and I’m probably breaking 1000 rules.
It’s reckless and it’s ridiculous. It’s also fucking happening. This woman and me, tonight? It’s fucking on. There’s a hunger in her eyes, and there’s a need in my cock, and there’s more than that. There was a connection in the car that whole drive up to my cabin.
“What are you thinking?” she asks me.
“I’m thinking I want you in that bed. Now.”
“I’ve never done this,” she says, her eyes exploring mine.
“Never ever?”
“Never ever. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to,” she says softly. She licks her lips. Her tongue is pink.
Her innocence may not be on the surface, but I can see it now; it’s a hidden layer she wasn’t showing right away, but now that it’s come out, I understand. She is tough on the outside. Soft in the center. And fuck, she’s a virgin.
“I don’t want to press you to do anything you’re not ready to do. We just met. We don’t need to have sex the first night.”
Her hands press to my chest, fingering the buttons of my flannel shirt. She’s licking her lips again. My cock is hard as a rock.
I want her in ways she doesn’t even understand. “What if we just start something and see where it takes us?” she asks, her voice lifting at the end, trying to see where I might go with this.
She has no fucking clue that I will go wherever she wants to take me. Including to the ends of the goddamn earth, because I like her. I like her one hell of a lot. Abby is the kind of girl you fall for. Hard.
This girl with a blind dog who’s come in on a fucking train, rolling into my life in a way I was not at all prepared for.
But I’ve been playing it safe for years, doing what everyone expects – running the family store, showing up for Sunday dinner. When’s the last time I had real fun? When’s the last time I went for it? I’ve been waiting for perfection but what if the present really is perfect?
