Growing up, I knew my older brother’s best friend thought of me as “Logan’s kid sister”. For me, though, our next-door neighbor Colin felt like anything but a sibling. Swoon is SO swoony!! Okay cheesy I know. BUT I fell soooo hard for Colin and Amy!! This is one of my favourites of Lauren Rowe's books and that is saying a lot because after Smitten I didn't think any book could top it! Swoon is the story of Colin Beretta, 22 Goats drummer and Amy O'Brien, Colin's best friends sister. They grew up together and secretly always adored one another but kept their feelings locked away and to themselves for obvious reasons. From the moment they reconnect, attending a mutual friends wedding, the chemistry between them is burning hot! The pacing of this story was perfect. The more I listened to this story the harder I fell for them. This is a whirlwind love story and impossible to put down from beginning to end. Amy and Colin were perfect together in every way. I loved their banter! Whether funny, sweet or vunerable it was just the BEST!
Joe Arden is my number one favourite narrator. This man can read the dictionary and I'd listen but the way he taps into the passion and vunerability of Colin's character was FANTASTIC and the steamy scenes. WHOA!! Super hot! AND Desiree Ketchum as Amy WOW!! Desiree is a newer narrator and one to look out for her. Her performance was phenomenal as well and these two narrators paired together made this story come to life and I loved it SO MUCH!
Nobody writes rockstar romances like Lauren Rowe. She is a passionate story teller and her lyrics are incredibly beautiful and unique. Listening to the audiobook and adding in real music was the PERFECT touch!
