Only Ever Yours by Nikki Ash was such an unexpectedly emotional and steamy read! I ADORE Nikki's writing. I really don't do insta-love in books EXCEPT when it's written by Nikki Ash. She does this trope SO well! The way she writes her characters it just fits for them. She writes these beautifully flawed characters, but adoring and protective from the get-go and they are so easy to fall for. Isaac's life is suddenly upended when he looses both of his parents tragically. He had no plans to work in the family business but doesn't hesitate to carry on his father's legacy after he realizes it has all been left to him. Twelve years later, Isaac is sucessful, wealthy and loyal. He works hard, and goes after what he wants. I loved him right from the beginning. He was adoring, and protective of Camilla from the first moment they met and drawn to her in unexplainable ways. He just knows deep in his heart, and soul she is the one for him. I loved the way he pursues Camilla with confidence and is relentless until he makes her his. Camilla, on the other hand took me a bit to warm up to. However, once I learned her back story, and all she has endured in her young life, I completely understood her shy, skittish behaviour towards Isaac intially. Despite some difficult times financially she remains positive and takes action to be a stronger person. She has a sweet heart, and her outlook on life is infectious. What stood out to me the most in this story is the suspense and angst, it took me by surprise in the best of ways as this is a different style than I am used to from this author. There were many twists and turns that I did not see coming. This story is unpredictible and kept me guessing. This combined with an intensely passionate love story kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. I loved it.
