REVIEW

5 stars!

Torn Apart by K. Webster and Nikki Ash is an INCREDIBLE angsty read. It is raw, emotional, and unique. I have never read anything like it before. I need book #2 Bound Together ASAP! The story begins with Mia and Ashton. Two best friends in college whom both have secret feelings for each other afraid to act on them. Ashton is the Dean’s son, he is also gay, loves to swim, play video games and adores his best friend Mia. Mia is a complicated girl. She just wants to be loved by her family. She struggles with her outer appearance mainly due to the way her mom has put her down her whole life. When she is behind closed doors she is a nerdy girl with glasses and a pony tail or pigtails and no makeup but the moment she leaves home she has to be perfectly polished, makeup on, contacts instead of glasses and perfectly dressed. We also meet Brayden. Incredibly attractive hockey player, ladies man and total jock. Last, but not least we have Drew. The new hockey coach for the college. He is also a former NHL player and is now Ashton’s new roommate. Ohh and he almost hooks up with Mia in the beginning before she put a stop to it because of her feelings for Ashton. Brayden and Drew have a messy, complicated past and the intensity of whatever happened between them had me reeling and needing to know more. The character that stood out the most to me is Ashton. The inner turmoil he is going through when it comes to his labels for himself and his snarky remarks don’t go unnoticed and what happened between him and his parents? What is he is hiding underneath his beautiful face and body? The emotional turmoil he is going through really got to me and I need to know ASAP! There is definitely more to him to uncover I just know it. There is so much drama, and angst happening here! The sexual tension was off the charts at all times. Whom belongs to whom is never clear because of how confused each are. Lines are getting blurred and boundaries crossed and I am DYING for the conclusion to this complicated, angsty story! K. Webster and Nikki Ash make up an incredible writing duo. Each writing style different but perfectly complimenting at the same time.
