Eventually, they find their way back to each other. The only problem is, by the time that Mavis makes her way back into his heart, it breaks. And not in a rhetorical way. In the ‘he only has days to live’ kind of way.

Jerk It, Madd Crossfit book #2 by Lani Lynn Vale was a phenomenal and an unexpectedly emotional read. Mavis and Murphy have history. They knew each other growing up but were then forced apart. Now back in each other lives they are teetering on cusp of hate and love. I devoured this book. From beginning to end I found it impossible to put down. Every moment shared between Mavis and Murphy I couldn’t get enough of. Their intense chemistry, connection and banter was fantastic and needed more at every turn of the page. Mavis is feisty and fiery and Murphy is a bit hard headed and having difficulty letting go of the past but leave it to Mavis as she doesn’t back down nor will she allow him to push her away. This story is beautifully written but also heartbreaking. Be prepared for an emotional reading experience like no other. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
