About the Book

A few years ago, when his sister went missing, Haggard Crow turned into something he never wanted to be. A killer.

Even after his sister is rescued a year after she was kidnapped and sold, Haggard ‘Thief’ Crow doesn’t have any plans on changing. He sort of likes the zero fucks given guy that he is now.

Bonus points, he saves women and children from extreme situations, along with his club and real life brothers by his side.

After a horrible marriage, Haggard has zero plans of ever finding a woman again. One-night stands not counting, he adores his life as a single man. There are no expectations. No ‘where are yous’ and ‘are you coming homes.’

The life he chooses to live is a simple one. Until he makes a huge mistake, and he steps over that line between ‘daughter’s best friend’ and ‘a woman he desperately wants.’

Before long, he can’t stop thinking about her. Can’t stop wanting her. Can’t stop feeling things for her that a man twenty years her senior should never feel for a girl he watched grow up.

After one lapse in judgment, he decides she needs to go. But the funny thing is, he never expected Sophia Madden to fight back. And dirty at that.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Always Someone’s Monster is the first book in Lani Lynn Vale’s new Battle Crow MC Series. I’ve been dying for Sophia Madden’s story since ‘meeting’ her in the Madd CrossFit series and wow what a steamy, forbidden, emotional story it was. It was so worth the wait. This story took me by surprise in the very best of ways. I was not at all prepared for the many feels this book would put me through and the moment I started reading it was impossible to put the book down until I finished. Sophia and Haggard have a complicated, emotional love story. He is her dad’s best friend and she is his daughter’s best friend. Holy forbidden but nothing about it felt wrong. The progression and development of their relationship was perfectly written and I fell so hard for this couple. The angst, tension and feels nearly wrecked me but in an all consuming way. Sophia is a firecracker of a woman. Fierce, knows her heart and mind and Haggard is what she wants. Haggard is a different man since his sister was held captive by traffickers. She’s now been rescued and is happy in her life but that year he lost with her destroyed him. He is a good man but does bad things for the right reasons. Sophia is a temptation to him that is tries very hard to resist, but she is persistent and becomes impossible to ignore the looks, touches and sparks. When they connect the passion between them is deeply intense and I couldn’t get enough. The book is unpredictable in ways that I can’t even begin to describe without giving away spoilers. If you are a reader that wants to feel all the emotions when you read this is the one to pick up. Just have your box of tissues near because you are going to need them!
