REVIEW: Just a Kiss by Samantha Lind

Release Date: January 6

It all started with just a kiss.

The first was ten years ago in high school.

Our second was in a bar on the dance floor.

We agreed to keep things casual.

But we were like a fire burning behind closed doors.

Those sparks had me wanting more.

When I took a shot in the dark and asked for more, it brought us to the ultimate crossroads.

Do we do things right, with just a kiss goodbye?

Or do we do things right, with a kiss goodnight?

3 STARS

Just a Kiss is the fourth book in Samantha Lind’s Lyrics and Love Series. It can be read as standalone. Allison and Lee meet in high school and attend prom together. They share an intense kiss that neither of them really forgot about. Years later they run into each at a local bar and hit things off right away. Their attraction is off the charts and they enter a friends with benefits agreement as Lee insists he cannot offer Allison anymore. This is one scorching hot read. I enjoyed it but felt it was lacking a little more plot than just the premises of a sexual relationship. It was short and sweet but was looking for a little more character development and it also lacked the emotional connection I look for in my romance reads. I adored their best friends Tucker and Lindsay and am interested in checking out their story, Rumor Going ‘Round.
